A Little About me, Cindy
I am a self-taught multimedia artist, a published Children’s Book Author and Illustrator. I grew up in a small Midwest town of Illinois. As an adult, I lived in Redondo Beach, California and Chicago, Illinois. I now live back in a small town in Illinois where I live with my husband, Paul and my dog Chesterfield. My paintings are informed by the roads I have taken throughout my life. As a child I enjoyed going to local racetracks with my dad. My Dad raced late models at Speedbowl Park, Freeport Speedway, Davenport and many others. He still owns race cars and is at the track every weekend. We have a great team and Race Family…Proud to be part of Racing. This love of racing is juxtaposed in many of my paintings: my canvas, is the track and with my brush I race across the canvas…the paint and dirt flies! I love dogs, there is not a time in my life I did not have a dog. This passion for my furry friends is a constant. I donate and do commission work to raise money to help dogs in need. My art and writings take many directions as my life has taken me down many roads. From my life’s experiences I have embraced my love of dirt track racing and dogs in my paintings. My passion for life is expressed though Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Ink, Color Pencil , digital, Graphite Drawings and my writings... And my sewing!
